The main museum is the core of the City Palace complex. Built entirely of granite and marble, it contains a series of interconnected palaces and courtyards.
Standard entry tickets cover this area. You will navigate narrow corridors and numerous stairs as you move between the historical royal chambers. Remember that flash photography is strictly prohibited inside the museum galleries.

This courtyard displays mosaics of peacocks representing different seasons. The artwork features extensive glass inlay work. It is considered some of the finest glass craftsmanship in Rajasthan.

Built for Maharana Pratap, this palace room features elaborate mirror work. The intricate glass covers the walls and ceiling. The design allowed a single candle to illuminate the entire space through reflections.

This central garden sits at the highest point of the palace. Builders constructed it directly on a natural 90-foot rock formation. The marble arches provide wide views of Udaipur and Lake Pichola.
